News & Events Fresher’s DayThis being the year of inception, there was no possibility of a fresher’s party at the college. However, the principal with the staff in tow came up with a brilliant performance called Fusion 2008.The event was marked with colour, gaiety, music and dance.Despite the rigorous schedule at the first year engineering, the students at PJSM contributed in great numbers to the dance and music items at the fresher’s party ironically held to facilitate their entry. In the absence of any seniors, the students danced and sang in tune with the ever cooperating staff. The Principal had announced prizes to the toppers of the first Mid Internals held at the college. There were prizes for each discipline toppers as well as individual subject toppers. The Chairman of the college P.K.S Madhavan was the chief guest on the occasion. Seminar Lectures Kick starting a series of seminar lectures for the benefit of the first year students at the college, Professor C Rajeswar Vice Principal, Stanley College, Abids spoke to the room filled with students from four disciplines the many uses of ‘C’ language in the programming area. He spoke about the simplicity of this language which has just 32 characters and yet is the most potential language when it comes to programming. He went on to expand the nuances of the language. The students had the great gain of having this lecture as they were able to comprehend the free and easy method in which Rajeswar presented. The lecture was followed by Questions and Answers. |
